Almost all indicators for the Huntington Beach Real Estate Market (Sales, Price per Square Foot, and Days on Market) showed improvement in December 2017 compared to 2016.
Average Price was mostly unchanged at -0.7%.
You could say more homes sold and that they sold more quickly.
But the buyers paid more in 2017 for less square feet than last year.
Compared to the same period in 2016 –
- Total Sales were up 3.1%
- Total Price Per Square Foot was up 12.2%
- Total Average Days on Market fell from 52 to 35 days.

Sellers: The real estate market in HB is doing very well and sellers are making good profits.
Buyers: Mortgage Rates are still under 4% according to FreddieMac (1/11/17).
The average price of detached homes in HB sold in December 2017 was $1,110,243 –
a decrease of 4.9% compared to last month, but an increase of 6.4% compared to December 2016.
